Major Appliances

The Major Appliances category requires approval to sell on Sizzle. Sizzle limits the number of sellers in this category to ensure that customers are able to buy with confidence from all sellers on Sizzle.

Sizzle limits the addition of new sellers in the Major Appliances category to ensure that customers are able to buy with confidence from all sellers on Sizzle. The requirements for selling in Major Appliances reflect buyer concern for product quality, product branding, and consumer safety.

A major appliance is any item classified for cooking, cleaning, maintenance, or refrigeration in a household environment. Major appliance items that are less than 70 lbs. that can be shipped using commercial carriers and major appliances sold for commercial use are excluded from these shipping requirements. Sellers who are selling single items, refurbished, or used items are also excluded.

Once you have reviewed the shipping requirements, you can apply for approval by clicking the Request Approval button at the bottom of the page. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee that Sizzle will approve sellers for selling in Major Appliances. Please note that Sizzle may remove approval to sell in the category for failure to meet these requirements.

Shipping requirements:
  • Within 3 business days of order notification you will contact the customer, using the email communication tool available through your seller account, to schedule delivery. If a customer does not respond to the scheduling email, a phone contact (if customer has provided this information) should be attempted within 5 business days or order notification. Upon initial contact with the customer to schedule delivery (via email or phone), scheduled delivery dates/times should be offered to customer in at least 3 different daily windows and include a Saturday option if requested by the customer.
  • Merchandise must be available to ship within 3 days of order notification.
  • In your seller account go to Help and search for Inventory Reports for more information about how to manage your inventory on Sizzle and help avoid poor pre-fulfillment cancellation rates.

Product-specific Listing requirements

Sellers must appropriately and accurately classify their products.

Sellers must submit product titles, bullets, and product descriptions that are clearly written and assist the customer in understanding the product.

Standard delivery service must include:
  • Delivery up or down at least 2 flights of stairs to customer's room of choice.
  • Curbside drop off, only at customer's request.
  • Unpacking and removal of packing material.
  • Delivery person must be bonded and conduct work in professional manner.

Each of your major appliance listings displayed on the main product detail page will include a delivery promise that will call out the seller's specific delivery promise. Next step
