Examples of permitted listings

Reminder: All listings and products must comply with all laws and regulations.
  • New catalytic converters that are certified to conform to the Clean Air Act standards
  • High-intensity discharge (HID) conversion kits intended for and specifically listed for off-road use or export
  • Tires
  • Automotive batteries
  • Empty gas cans that conform to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards

Examples of prohibited listings

  • Motor vehicles that are required to be registered
  • Photo blocker sprays or license plate covers designed to block detection by red light cameras, toll both systems, police cameras, or other photo detection sources
  • Products intended to defeat, bypass, or shut down emission control devices, including oxygen simulators
  • Products intended to override malfunction indicator lights
  • High-intensity discharge (HID) conversion kits, except as specifically permitted above
  • Products intended to affect traffics signals
  • Products designed to intentionally block, jam, or interfere with licensed or authorized radio communications, such as:
    • Cell jammers
    • Radar jammers
    • Wi-Fi jammers
  • Products intended to alter odometers
  • Driver's licenses and other government-issued identification cards
  • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) plates
  • In California: engines, aftermarket, performance, and add-on parts and gas cans that are not compliant with California Air Resources Board requirements
  • Vehicle airbags and airbag covers
